About Michelle

Hi, I’m Michelle Corbin.

I’m a mental health therapist who believes counseling should feel human, practical, and genuinely useful. My approach is collaborative and judgment-free, with a focus on helping clients better understand what they are experiencing while developing tools they can actually use in everyday life.

I work with adults navigating stress, anxiety, trauma, burnout, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, and other difficult seasons. I especially enjoy working with people who are accustomed to being the strong one—the person others depend on—but who may not always have a place to put down what they are carrying.

First responders and their families are a special area of focus in my practice. For the past two years, I have worked closely with first responders through counseling, hundreds of mental wellness visits, training, peer support education, and critical incident support. As the spouse of a law enforcement officer, I also have a personal understanding of how the demands of the profession can affect life beyond the job.

My Approach

My approach to counseling is practical, collaborative, and tailored to the individual. I believe therapy works best when clients feel heard, respected, and free to explore what matters most to them without judgment.

Depending on your goals, counseling may include practical coping tools, reflection on patterns and relationships, values-based decision-making, and strategies for building greater resilience. For clients who would like faith to be part of the counseling process, I am also comfortable incorporating a Christian, faith-informed perspective in a way that feels natural and respectful to you.

You do not need to leave important parts of who you are outside the counseling room. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you move toward meaningful, lasting change.
